Ten Kate Grant Services has been writing grants since 2007. We began by writing grants for our own local fire departments. Once a few grants were awarded, other department’s officers asked us how we did it. We then realized many departments weren’t receiving much-needed grant funds simply because no one was writing the grant applications.
We began by writing grants for a few nearby departments. Through word of mouth, we have gradually built up a clientele throughout New York State as well as several other states. We also offer grant administration. Our staff experience includes career and volunteer firefighting and EMS, fire service education, industrial health and safety education, writing and editing, human resources and finance.
Grant awards total $16.5 million through 2017 for applications written by Ten Kate Grant Services. These grant awards allow out clients to purchase supplies and gear to help ensure the safety of their firefighters. During the most recent AFG grant period, Ten Kate Grant Services wrote 74 grants for 63 clients.
Our grant awards include vehicles, SCBA, turnout gear, hose, extrication equipment, compressors, radio equipment, recruitment and retention, bunker programs, water rescue, community CPR and safety, smoke detector programs, fitness equipment, chest compression devices and AEDs.
